A JEWISH CORE.  A NEW CENTER

The New Center for Arts and Culture presents performances, art and ideas that explore universal themes through a Jewish lens.

Our programs reflect the spirit of contemporary Jewish culture, while speaking both to Jewish audiences and to the broader community. We invite everyone to come and experience the insight, passion, humanity and humor that lie at the heart of our programs.

Prism: a transparent body with two parallel planes that changes whatever is viewed through it

Prism is the young adult division of the New Center for Arts and Culture. We present arts and culture from a Jewish perspective, offering lively, meaningful and engaging programs that often give us new insight about our Jewish identity. We all know that young adults and adults have different views of what’s fun. Not only is Prism for young adults, but it is planned by young adults.

We welcome people from all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds to our programs – the more perspectives and ideas, the better the conversation. Let’s face it; most Jewish young adults have friends from diverse backgrounds. So while we are a Jewish organization, we welcome the perspectives and experiences of all of our friends at our programs.

Prism purposefully has no cut-off age, realizing that being young is in your heart, not in your age! So while we invite anyone and everyone to attend our programs, please understand that Prism programs are planned for young adults (18 – 39 approximately), whose expectations are often quite different than older adults.

Prism programs fall into one of two categories – large programs, designed to attract hundreds of young adults with great content and interactive experiences, and small programs focused on engaging 5 – 30 people a more intimate way.

So join us for an upcoming program – we look forward to meeting you! CLICK HERE to see Prism's upcoming programs.

If you’re interested in becoming more involved or learning more about Prism, please contact Prism Director Laura Mandel.

Prism is led by an Executive Council that is invested in using arts and culture as a way to engage Jewish young adults.
